On this blessed day when the Great Offensive ended with our victory, we commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all our saintly martyrs with mercy and gratitude. This day, which we live as the fruit of the talented Turkish commanders, the unshakable will of our nation and the love of the country, is our holiday.
As every day, we are proud of our nation’s supreme determination and patriotism, and we celebrate August 30 Victory Day with all our sincere wishes.

The offensive, which started in Zafertepe Çalköy, proceeded with the order of Mustafa Kemal Pasha. The Commander-in-Chief in the first place, followed by the heroic Turkish soldier, had completely destroyed the Greek troops in Allioren, Kızıltaş Stream and Keçiler locations. When that day finally came, the whole Turkish nation would celebrate it as a holiday for years. Here is Gazi Mustafa Kemal’s iconic “Armies, your first target is the Mediterranean, forward!” The order came immediately after this victory.
On September 1, the Commander-in-Chief issued the following statement to be read to all officers and privates on the Western Front:
I request all my friends to continue the competition with all their might, taking into account that there will be other field battles in Anatolia, and using the resources of everyone’s intelligence and patriotism. Armies, your first goal is the Mediterranean. Forward!”
Today, we commemorate all of these people, to whom we owe all our freedom, with love, respect and gratitude. Bless their souls.
