The three women, fans of the group who wished to remain anonymous, report facts that would have taken place between 2016 and 2020, when they were aged 18 to 23.
Two of them, whom the singer would have contacted on Instagram, evoke “certain poses and sexual acts, words said in front of the camera, outfits or sexual accessories that he pushed them to buy.” One of them tells the magazine about the depression that followed this relationship and a suicide attempt. The fourth person, described in the newspaper as non-binary, accuses Win Butler of having “sexually assaulted her twice in 2015, when she was 21 and he was 34.”
For his part, still in the columns of Pitchfork, the singer of Arcade Fire denies the facts and assures that these relations were “consented”. “I have never touched a woman against her will, and any insinuation to that effect is simply untrue.
