Sweden’s GDP grew by 0.9 percent during the second quarter compared to the previous quarter. In the quick calculation published earlier this summer, growth was 1.4 percent. Compared to the corresponding period in 2021, GDP increased by 3.8 percent, according to Statistics Sweden (SCB). Weak first quarter “After a relatively weak first quarter, GDP growth picked up in the second quarter. The rise is mainly explained by investments in business and household consumption expenditure,” says Jessica Engdahl, head of section at National Accounts in a press release.
