(Finance) – Also the social health sector is serving hard effects of expensive energy, even if compared to other sectors it must in any case maintain, without the possibility of interruption, an efficient and high quality standard of performance and services, given the care of elderly and frail patients. The alarm comes from Confcommercio Health, Healthcare and Carewhich represents about 3,000 realities in the sector for a total of approximately 33,000 employees.
“Almost all the structures we represent, to date, have recorded substantial increases in energy consumption close to the last four months of the year. We are talking about costs in the bill doubled in most cases and in some contexts even tripled, which add up to to the increase in expenses generated by various fundamental services such as, for example, catering and laundry “, explains the president of Confcommercio Salute, Luca Pallaviciniwhich does not exclude the “closure of various realities or the deterioration of the quality of services”.
From here the requests of Confcommercio Salute to the government and political forces in view of the electoral round: the reduction of rates on electricity to 10% as for gas in the short term combined with structural interventions aimed at “stopping” the proliferation of a collateral world of low-cost structures without quality guarantees, which have polluted the entire sector.
