(Finance) – The project newco participated by TIM, LeonardoCassa Depositi e Prestiti and Sogeihas signed the Convention with the Department for digital transformation of the Prime Minister’s Office, for the granting of the design, construction and management of the National Strategic Polewhich will deal with the provision of cloud services to the Public Administration.
Emanuele Iannetti was chosen as CEO of the recently established company. The manager, 55, hails from Ericsson Telecommunications. He began his career at Telecom Italia in 1989 and subsequently held roles of increasing responsibility at H3G, Nokia Siemens Networks, Siemens and Atos before joining Ericsson in 2013.
The signing of the Convention took place in outcome of the European tender called by Difesa Servizi and awarded, on 11 July 2022, to the team, following the exercise of the right of first refusal in compliance with the regulations and the tender documentation.
There concession will have a duration of 13 years and the services will be provided to each member administration for 10 years from the date of completion of the data migration.
The initiative is part of the overall plan to accelerate the digital transformation of the country, to guarantee the security and reliability of data and to provide innovative services to citizens and businesses, as required by the PNRR and by regulatory interventions on digital infrastructures.
