The relegated GVVV – which opened the competition last week with a 5-3 win over Ter Leede – was dangerous shortly after the start signal via Ilias Latif, but then the level dropped far. Excelsior’31 took matters into their own hands and forced the Veenendaal team into the defensive. After more than half an hour of play, that also led to the opening goal of the home team.
