From Mexico come terrifying revelations about the 43 students who disappeared eight years ago. The case has been marred by legal scandals and now there is information indicating that at least some of the students were executed on the orders of the military. Before the disappearance, the student teachers had arranged for buses to participate in a demonstration in Mexico City. According to those who investigated the case, they were detained during the trip by corrupt police officers and handed over to a drug cartel, who mistook them for members of a rival gang. Linked to military The criticized review report claimed they were murdered by the cartel who then burned their remains. But according to the truth commission that is currently investigating the atrocity, the crime has links to state institutions, and especially the military.
