Five Swedish players remain in the KHL over the coming season.
Now the Russian newspaper Sport-Express comes with information about how much the Swedish stars bring in.
After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, many Swedish players broke their contracts with their KHL clubs. For some, however, it was not possible, who were forced to remain in the club.
Millions rain over the Swedes
Other players, however, have chosen to move to clubs in the KHL, including Fredrik Claesson to CSKA Moscow and Jakob Lilja, who stayed in the league and will play next season in Dynamo Moscow.
Now the Russian sports site Sport-Express has information on how much the Swedes will earn next season. And it’s really no small change.
The duo mentioned above will be the highest paid and have an annual salary of 50 million, which corresponds to around 8.8 million kroner before tax and other possible bonuses.
That’s how much the rest pulls in
But millionaire rain also awaits the other players Viktor Svedberg, Adam Reideborn and Robin Press who also have a juicy salary away in the KHL. In the coming season, they will collect 7.1, 6.2 and 4.9 million kroner each.
