During Friday, a NATO meeting will be held in Finland between Sweden, Finland and Turkey, where they will discuss the requirements that Turkey has set in order to approve the two countries’ NATO application. According to Kjell Engelbrekt, professor of political science at the Norwegian Defense Academy, there will be many meetings during the autumn. – Turkey is in a strong negotiating position and of course they want to take advantage of this. Following Sweden’s and Finland’s joint NATO application, Turkey has set demands to ratify the countries’ accession protocol. Among other things, Turkey demands that the countries extradite a number of alleged terrorists. See more in the player above
