Daniel Ricciardo has not delivered at the same level as his team mate Lando Norris during the season. With only a twelfth place in the summary and sixth place as his best race, he has now verbally agreed to terminate the contract with McLaren.
Britten Norris is hard on the 33-year-old.
— I don’t feel that you should feel sympathy for any driver in Formula 1 if they haven’t done their job well enough.
When asked if he feels sorry for eight-time GP winner Ricciardo, Norris replies:
— I don’t like to say it… but no. People will probably hate me for saying that.
The 22-year-old is seventh overall and has been on the podium once. Even so, he is not really happy with the car.
— At the beginning of the year, Daniel was much better than me. It looked like he could go out and drive quite naturally. I feel like I’ve had to adjust a lot, but absolutely, so has he.
