CHOLESTEROL PATIENTS SHOULD AVOID

- Low-fat products should be preferred instead of full-fat milk and dairy products.
- Pastry, cream, margarine, bakery products, fried foods and fast food type foods should be avoided.

HOW SHOULD CHOLESTEROL PATIENTS FEED?
- Predominantly white meat should be preferred; Grilling, boiling and steaming should be preferred as cooking methods.
- Nuts such as hazelnuts, peanuts and walnuts are known to provide slight decreases in bad cholesterol. However, it must be consumed in appropriate quantities.
- Consumption of cereals, fresh vegetables and fruits should be increased.
- Plenty of fish should be consumed.
- The fat content of cheddar cheese is higher. Therefore, white cheese or curd cheese should be preferred.
