Red Dead Redemption 2 is a hit game from the developer studio Rockstar Games, which delighted its players with its extensive story. YouTuber Kush Qrox found a hidden cutscene in the game files. The clip suggests that a huge amount of content was withheld from gamers.
Red Dead Redemption 2 comes from Rockstar Games, also known for GTA 5.
The game is a western shooter set in a fictional version towards the end of the American Wild West. The game is praised above all for its good story in the campaign and was really well received by the gamers.
A cutscene was found in the game data, which suggests that the story could have been even more extensive. However, a large part of the content was probably deleted.

The story might have been different
What content do we have in the game? In Red Dead Redemption 2 there is a side mission titled “A Fisher of Fish”. In this, the player or the main character Arthur Morgan meets the angler Jeremy Gill, who challenges him to a fishing challenge. Here Arthur has to visit different places and catch certain fish specimens.
Certain fish cannot be caught until the player reaches the Epilogue in Red Dead Redemption 2 once playing as John Marston. Because: As Arthur, the places Blackwater and New Austin can not be visited. But there are fish there that are to be caught as part of the mission.
What content has been removed? In the cutscene, it is suggested that Arthur should catch a fish in Rio Bravo. Therefore, one can assume that Arthur should have also traveled to Blackwater and New Austin in the cut content.
This raises the question of whether the hunt and near-death by law enforcement, as we know it in Red Dead Redemption 2, would have taken place in this form.
If the player tries to get to Blackwater as Arthur in the game, the bounty hunters will quickly throw a spanner in the works.
What is happening in the video? On August 20, 2022, YouTuber Kush Qrox releases a cutscene titled “This Unused Cutscene Proves Arthur Was Able To Explore New Austin” (via YouTube)
You can watch the cutscene here:
What does the cutscene show? The scene doesn’t seem to be fully worked out, which is why Arthur is conversing with an “invisible person”. However, Jeremy Gill can be identified by his voice.
The fisherman wants Arthur to go to Rio Bravo, so the main character asks if that’s in the desert. Arthur also expresses his displeasure and says that he doesn’t want to go there, but in the end he allows himself to be persuaded.
At the end of the clip, Arthur is standing in front of a lake in New Austin.
After the game and especially its story was so well received by the players, additional content in the game would certainly have made one or the other happy.
It would also have been interesting to know which alternative story the game would have told or whether the course of events would have remained largely the same.
