Last Sunday evening, Sweden won its first ever gold in the EC in beach volleyball. The winning duo is called David Åhman and Jonathan Hellvig took home the medal after defeating the Czech Republic 2-0 in sets. The historic win still hasn’t sunk in with the players. – It feels completely unreal, we don’t understand what we have done, says David Åhman. Now Åhman and Hellvig hope to inspire others, so that more people find the sport so that it grows. – Our big goal is to qualify for the Olympics in Paris, they say.
