Call of Duty: Warzone starts its 5th joint season with CoD: Vanguard. This time, too, the large map Caldera changes extensively. The most important information about the content can be found here in the short overview.

Season 5 is the final chapter of CoD Warzone. During the live seasons, the shooter regularly brings new content into play and thus provides a breath of fresh air. This is also the case in Season 5. This time the shooter focuses on four legendary villains who are up to mischief on the map Caldera:

  • Roke
  • Al-Asad
  • seraph
  • and Raul Mendez.

    • Season 5 of CoD: Warzone will be released on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. German time.

    What are the highlights of the season? As in previous seasons, Season 5 also offers some new content. Here you can see a short overview:

    What is behind the volcanic activity? In Season 5 there are some changes on the map Caldera. Thus, the map’s volcano, Calderas Peak, will erupt in all modes, causing lava to flow across the island.

    What is this new gulag? With the new season, Caldera gets a new gulag, the so-called volcano gulag. This is designed to match the volcanic eruption.

    Doomsday Station, Rage Serum and more items

    What is the Doomsday Station? The Doomsday Station is a device on Caldera that you can trigger in the Battle Royale. However, to trigger the Doomsday Station, you must pay $10,000.

    Once you have triggered the Doomsday Station, enemy AI helicopters and soldiers will surround your position. If you stay close and successfully defend yourself against the attackers, you will receive a unique cosmetic clock for your operator. You also have the chance to get powerful items as a reward.

    What new items are there?

  • Supply boxes UAV: The Supply Crate UAV is an unmanned drone that you can use with a killstreak to detect unopened Supply Crates in your area. These are then marked on the player’s mini-map for 15 seconds by using the drone. You can get the drone from Supply Crates or buy it from a Buy Station.
  • Personal Supply Crate: This is a new Ultra Rare Supply Crate where you can find your favorite Warzone weapons. On top of that, you get a big XP boost out of the box. You can find them by using the Supply Crate Drone.
  • Rage Serum: The Rage Serum is a field upgrade that increases your melee combat. You deal more damage with melee attacks and have an increased range through the serum.

    New mode at the start of the season

    What is Operation: Last Call for a mode? The Operation: Last Call limited-time mode will be available at the start of Season 5. It is inspired by the popular “Search and Destroy” mode in which you have to place or defuse bombs.

    In Operation: Last Call, however, the goal is to destroy or defend Caldera. If you defend the island, you have to defuse bombs. If you want to help destroy it, you must sabotage the island and detonate explosives at the designated locations.

    In addition, there are now lava rocks on Caldera that fall onto the island. You should stay away from its landing zone. There should also be a “volcano display” that shows you the current activity of the volcano graphically.

    What’s in the seasonal event? The Season 5 community event is called Heroes vs. Villains. In the event you have to choose a side and then lead it to victory. To do this, you collect so-called hero tokens or villain tokens in all game modes.

    After the event, a unique weapon blueprint from the winning team will be distributed to everyone. Additionally, you have a chance to get rewards such as the Legendary Animated One-on-One Reputation Card, Hero or Villain Weapon Charm, Spitfire Melee Weapon Blueprint, or Time Duality Clock.

    What’s up with the Midseason Update? With the midseason update from CoD-Warzone, there will be new content again in Season 5.

    This includes a limited time mode called “Rebirth Supreme” played on Rebirth Island. In this mode you will compete in groups of four and should have access to the best weapons. Resuscitation should also be activated in this mode, which is why death does not mean you are eliminated.
