Stina Nilsson is heading towards her third season as a biathlete.
Now the Swede reveals that more cross-country skiers are interested in changing sports.
– If you feel like it, I’m the first to say “drive”, she says.
It has been over two years since Stina Nilsson announced that she was leaving cross-country skiing. Instead, the Swedish star chose to change sports, and invested further in a career in biathlon.
Less the breakthrough
Since the shocking change, Stina Nilsson has mixed and given. But she would have a minor breakthrough towards the end of last season. The Swede joined the Swedish Olympic squad, however without a start, and took his first podium in the World Cup in biathlon.
Stina Nilsson is currently charging for her third season in her brand new sport. And after last year’s competition, sprint specialist Anamarija Lampic switched to biathlon – and there may be more cross-country skiers who go that way.
Stina Nilsson now reveals that more stars have contacted her and were interested in changing sports.

– That has certainly been the case, I have only experienced tributes from old colleagues who have also expressed that it looks exciting with biathlon, she says to SVT Sport.
The Swede continues:
– It has not happened that I have become a guru, but certainly that it has been expressed “how brave you are, I would almost like to do it myself”, but it is not a hasty decision you make. But if you feel like it, I’m the first to say “drive”, says Stina Nilsson
