Finland Viivi Lehikoinen was sixth in the 400m hurdles final at the European Championships in Munich on Friday. Lehikoinen’s time in the final was 55.58.
of the Netherlands Femke Bol ran to victory in the 400-meter hurdles with a new competition record of 52.67. Bol also won the 400m European Championship.
Lehikoinen regretted his performance, although sixth place in the EC final was a good result in his opinion.
– It’s a shame when the performance was so bad. Something happened in that initial smoothness. It already started badly. I tried to get it together, but something happened at every fence. I was already sipping with the initial smoothness, Lehikoinen said.
Lehikoinen got directly to the semi-final stage and at that time he ran a new SE time of 54.50. In his opinion, the European Championships will be very much on the plus side.
– The goal was the EC final, but it would have been a plus if I had performed well in the final. That’s how it is.
