Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense (MND) announced that 51 warplanes and 6 warships belonging to the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) entered Taiwan’s “Air Defense Identification Area” (ADIZ).
The tension between China and Taiwan, which started during the visit of US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan, continues. Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense announced that 51 warplanes and 6 warships of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) entered Taiwan’s “Air Defense Identification Area” (ADIZ). It was reported that 25 of these planes crossed the middle line.
“DEFENSE SYSTEMS ACTIVATED”
Noting that they are following China’s movements, the ministry said, “Signal mixer has been activated by us, warnings have been sent to aircraft violating the airspace. Air defense systems have been activated.” Among these systems, it was shared that there are Sky Bow III anti-aircraft and 35 mm Double Barrel Anti-Aircraft.
The ministry announced the previous day that 21 warplanes and 5 warships belonging to China had entered ADIZ, and reported that 5 of the planes had crossed the middle line. (UAV)
