The Premier League stars of Aston Villa had to name their favorite player in the English top league of all time. Then the Scotsman John McGinn came up with an unexpected answer that makes all Swedes melt.
¨The Premier League has started with a bang and offered great drama during the opening two rounds. Aston Villas have made a good start to the season and have one win and one loss.
Unexpected answer
The team started by losing away to newcomers Bournemouth, but bounced back straight away in the home opener against Everton. Emilio Buendia secured the win with a late winner in the 86th minute and the final score was 2-1.
At the weekend, Crystal Palace awaits away from home and Aston Villa is fully loaded all week. During a training session, a camera suddenly appeared and asked the players who is their favorite Premier League player of all time.
Only played seven games
Thierry Henry and Steven Gerrard were some of the answers. Then midfielder John McGinn swung past the camera and gave an unexpected answer, to say the least. The Scot said that Swede Henrik Larsson is his all-time favorite.
Unexpected to say the least, given that Henrik Larsson only played a couple of months in Manchester United in the winter of 2007. There, the Swede accounted for one goal in seven games.
