A fire at Källö-Knippla in Gothenburg’s northern archipelago on Tuesday evening ended with the island’s only shop and service facility being destroyed in the flames. It is a hard blow for many of the islanders, who have lost their meeting place.
– I didn’t buy anything. Don’t buy a newspaper. It’s terrible, says Knipplabon Gerhard Fransson.
Now he and the other islanders are forced to take the ferry and car to do their shopping.
