The railway manager and the NS only announced last Sunday evening that no more trains would run from, through and to the station from 9 p.m. on Tuesday evening. According to ProRail, there was no other option in this case: “We recently found out that the entire system is at the end of its life. Then you can use new parts, but it will be broken again in no time,” said a spokesperson.
