The world’s mistrust of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan has increased further after the US killed al-Qaeda leader al-Zawahiri in a drone attack. According to US President Joe Biden, the 71-year-old al-Qaeda leader had moved to central Kabul to be with his family, despite the Taliban’s promise that this would not happen.
