Magnus Samuelsson’s name is immortalized in the hometown of Kisa.
The icon has been given a bench with his own name on it.

Magnus Samuelsson is one of Sweden’s most popular athletes. He has become hugely popular with the Swedish people after his achievements in strength competitions, and also for his participation in several famous television shows.
Was celebrated in the hometown
The 52-year-old was a giant in his sport and was named “Sweden’s strongest man” an incredible nine times. But not enough of that. At the end of the 90s, Magnus Samuelsson was named the world’s strongest, the first Swede ever.
The icon was born and raised in Kinda. which belongs to Kisa, and is one of the city’s most famous people. Before the summer, the town wanted to pay tribute to those who put the town on the map by placing benches within the municipality with their names on them.
Magnus Samuelsson was of course one of the people who got a bench dedicated to himself. And that was something the bastard really appreciated.
Has a view of the gym
– I am very honored to be recognized in this way. I haven’t had time to think about it that much, but I am very honored, Samuelsson told Corren before the inauguration.
The bench is now positioned with a view to a place that meant a lot to Magnus Samuelsson’s sports career.
– The small bench is there and from it you can sit and look out towards the gym where it all started, says the 52-year-old.
Kisa will forever have a special place in Magnus Samuelsson’s heart.
– It is a very beautiful place with a calmness that I appreciate a lot. I am very rooted here.
