Elden Ring is not coming to Xbox Gamepass or Cloud Gaming, Microsoft has stated that this is due to a bug.
Dreams of Elden Ring being added to Xbox Gamepass or Cloud Gaming have been a lie for now. After a Twitter user drew attention, it was claimed that GTA 5, Elden Ring and more could come to Xbox Cloud Gaming. However, Microsoft stated that this was caused by an error and the error was fixed.
Elden Ring Xbox Gamepass hopes dashed for now
The Verge writer Tom Warren used the following statements on the subject:
“Elden Ring, GTA 5 and Soul Hackers 2 appearing to be playable on Xbox Cloud Gaming or Xbox Game Pass was just a bug, according to Microsoft’s statement, and this bug has been fixed.”
The aforementioned games were featured on the Xbox Cloud Gaming system with their logos, and even Xbox Gamepass ads appeared on the games’ own pages. A Microsoft official also stated that they were aware of the error that caused these games to appear in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate by mistake and they fixed the error. Madden NFL 23 came to Xbox Gamepass after a similar leak before, so it’s normal for players to get excited.
However, this does not mean that these three games will not come to Gamepass in the future. Another point that excited the players is that with Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming service, which is still in the testing phase, players had the chance to play system-tiring games such as Elden Ring and GTA 5 more comfortably.
