In France, the authorities warned on Thursday that the hot spots in the country could turn into huge forest fires.

A large group of firefighters has been trying to bring under control the fires south of Bordeaux in the south-west of the country. There are already 1,100 firefighters in the area and reinforcements are expected for them.

According to weather forecasts, temperatures can reach over 40 degrees in the area.

The European Space Agency ESA called for urgent action to stop climate change. ESA’s director by Josef Aschbacher according to the higher temperatures detected by satellite and the shrinking of rivers cause disruption to agriculture and industry.

The European Commission’s Copernicus program uses satellite images to share information about both natural and man-made disasters. On Thursday, images warned of extreme heat and wildfires in the regions of France and Spain.

The devastating fire started a month ago in July, which was the driest month in France since 1961. The fire destroyed 14,000 hectares of land and thousands of people had to evacuate.

Since then, the fire has continued to burn in dry pine forests and peatland.

Since Tuesday, the fire has burned 6,800 acres of land and 17 homes have been destroyed or damaged. 10,000 people have had to leave their homes and go on an evacuation trip.

The rescuers got the forest fire under control yesterday, but it flared up again due to the heat. The authorities have also suspected that the forest fire was started on purpose.

In total, there are eight large wildfires going on in different parts of France. Up to 10,000 rescuers have been on alert due to fires.
