In 1978, Stallone explained to Playboy:
It was a sexploitation movie called Kitty & Studs. I play Studs, who uses a billboard to invite people to a party. Then there’s a lot of kissing. […] I was finished. You had me kicked out of my apartment and I fell asleep in a bus stop. I was desperate. Either [der Film] or I rob someone [, sagte ich mir]. So I worked two days for $200 and was able to get off the bus stop.

The Italian Stallion – Trailer (English)
According to Stallone, it is one harmless erotic film that can almost be released for children today. In the early 1970s, it was apparently shown in various sex cinemas, according to advertising from the time (via Newspapers). But then came Rocky’s huge success. And the makers of the film probably sensed their chance.
Sylvester Stallone was blackmailed for $100,000 with nude scenes
According to the actor, the film’s makers wanted to sell him the rights after Rocky hit theaters. For a whopping $100,000. Apparently they speculated that, as a budding Hollywood star, he would like to pay a lot of money to pay off the embarrassment of soft porn. Stallone but wanted the rights”not even for two bucks” to have and sent a lawyer after them.
In the end, the producers were allowed to release the film anyway and tried to capitalize on the actor’s now big name. The title was changed based on Rocky to Italian Stallion or Randy – The Sex Adventures of Sylvester Stallone. To stoke curiosity, the creators claimed it was just about the heavily edited version of hardcore porn starring Stallone (via Mondo Digital). The claim was then refuted by the trade journal AVN.
Various edited versions of the film appeared over the next 30 years. A modern day myth developed around his supposedly hardcore version, for which there was never any evidence. 40 years after shooting, the rights and original negatives of the film were released Sold on Ebay for $412,000 (via IB Times). Whether Stallone is behind it is not known. On Amazon, Kitty & Studs is only available in a Spanish import version *.
