A fire broke out on Wednesday on the giant ship Johan Castberg, which is located at a shipyard in Stord, south of Bergen, writes NRK.
The crew of 187 people had to be evacuated, but no one is said to have been injured.
The emergency services state that the fire is under control and that there is no risk of spreading. It is still unclear how extensive the damage is to the ship.
The 313 meter long Johan Castberg was launched in January this year, but is not yet fully built.
According to E24, from 2024 the ship will be used for oil production in the Barents Sea and has the capacity to store 1.1 million barrels of oil. However, the construction has been beset by problems and is two years behind the original plan.
