During Tuesday, several powerful explosions occurred at a military airbase on the Russian-annexed Crimean peninsula in Ukraine. There have been many accounts of what happened, and Russian authorities state that it is not an attack but that it is a munition that has accidentally exploded.
There has been silence from the Ukrainian authorities, but there is speculation in the Ukrainian media that it is a Ukrainian attack on the peninsula. Now, among others, the Washington Post and the New York Times state that the attack may have been carried out by a guerrilla group.
