Brilliant thriller with many twists is a treat for every

Quentin Tarantino wasn’t just a director inspired by countless films. With Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, he himself inspired a whole generation of filmmakers who conquered the cinema in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In addition to Guy Ritchie and Joe Carnahan, this also includes Paul McGuigan.

The British director is known for his work on the BBC hit Sherlock, among other things. He previously directed a gangster film that should make any Tarantino fan happy: Lucky # Slevin. in one eventful screenplay full of twists idiosyncratic characters meet and hurl loose jokes at each other.

    According to a crime boss who calls himself simply The Boss (Morgan Freeman), Slevin owes him a great deal of money. In order to get things right, he is supposed to kill the rabbi’s son (Ben Kingsley). This is not a real rabbi, but another gangster boss who is in trouble with the other.

    As if that weren’t bad enough, Slevin is about to be kidnapped again – this time by the rabbi’s henchmen. Another mountain of debt, another hit-and-run as Slevin teams up with his friend’s adventurous neighbor, Lindsey (Lucy Liu), to figure out what’s really going on.

    And then there’s the mysterious Mr. Goodkat (Bruce Willis), who appears right at the beginning of the film. His real role and how he is connected to the characters, we only find out little by little. Lucky # Slevin comes up with some unexpected twists and amusing surprises.
