EON confirms guidance despite 1st half with falling profits

(Finance) – E.ONa German giant active in the energy sector, recorded a Adjusted EBITDA just under 4.1 billion euros in first half of 2022, approximately 700 million euros lower than the previous year’s value, which had benefited mainly from one-off positive effects relating to residual energy production rights. L’adjusted net profit, of around 1.4 billion euros, was 20% lower than the previous year’s figure. L’net financial debt it fell from € 38.9 billion at the end of 2021 to € 37.4 billion.

The company has confirmed the guidance for 2022. E.ON continues to expect adjusted EBITDA of € 7.6 to € 7.8 billion for the full year and an adjusted net profit of € 2.3 to € 2.5 billion. The latter corresponds to an adjusted earnings per share of 88 to 96 cents.
