Just before nine o’clock on Wednesday, prosecutor Frida Molander requested that a man in his 30s be detained for the fire at Folkets hus in Mörsil. The man is suspected of aggravated arson on probable grounds. Probable grounds are within the legal system a stronger degree of suspicion.
A detention hearing is expected to take place in the Östersund district court during the day, today Wednesday.
It was during the night of Monday that Folkets hus in Mörsil caught fire and then burned to the ground. No people were injured in connection with the incident.
