The School Inspectorate has previously rejected the International English School’s (IES) application to start four new schools in Gothenburg, Norrtälje, Huddinge and Upplands Bro.
The reason was that the independent school chain did not provide sufficient information about how much interest there is in the intended schools.
Now IES is appealing the School Inspectorate’s decision to the administrative court, writes Dagens Nyheter. In its appeal, the English School presents interest surveys for the planned schools.
After the School Inspectorate’s rejection, IES urged parents who put their children in queues for existing schools in the group to register their interest in the planned schools.
