Robert Lewandowski is Barcelona’s latest super signing.
When he was introduced to the fans at the Camp Nou, the club had free entry. Despite that, not as many people showed up as when Zlatan was presented.

Robert Lewandowski is clearly one of the world’s best strikers. The Polish international has scored goals for his Bayern Munich and won almost everything there is to win.

But after last season, and with one year left on his contract at the German club, Lewandowski felt a change. Bayern eventually agreed a deal with Barcelona over a transfer for the striker, and last week the 33-year-old was unveiled in front of his new home crowd.

Barcelona were incredibly proud to have managed to lure Lewandowki to the club. When it came time to show off their new striker to the supporters, they chose not to take admission – to attract as many people as possible.

Now the attendance figures for the reception have become official, with a whopping 59,026 fans turning up to welcome their new super striker. An impressive figure, and the second best under player presentation in Barcelona history.

Zlatan holds the record

The person who holds the record is a certain Swede named Zlatan Ibrahimovic. When “Ibra” joined from Inter, he cost around SEK 700 million to redeem, and a whopping 60,000 supporters turned up at Camp Nou to see Zlatan for the first time in a Barca shirt.
