Although Tom Cruise turned 60 this year, the star doesn’t even think about rest. At the moment the actor is still busy with the usual demanding shooting of Mission: Impossible 8. The big finale of the action series doesn’t stop Cruise from planning directly with director Christopher McQuarrie.
As a producer, McQuarrie developed three new projects with Cruise, two of which already sound incredible. This includes the return of the weirdest cult figure of the star from Tropic Thunder.

As Deadline reports, Cruise and McQuarrie want to bring back the Tropic Thunder fan favorite. It has not yet been revealed what kind of film it is supposed to be. In addition, the star and the director are planning another project that we would like to see right away. Cruise is set to star in a musical full of song and dance scenes! In Rock of Ages, the star was allowed to prove himself musically.
The third project sounds like the most classic Cruise/McQuarrie material and so far is only known as Action film with franchise potential described. Apparently, after Mission: Impossible, the next long-running hit for Cruise is to be prepared directly.
It is not yet clear when the three planned projects with Cruise will appear. Next, fans can look forward to Mission: Impossible 7 – Dead Reckoning Part One, which will be released on July 13, 2023 comes to the cinema.
