The government has decided that the Armed Forces will send up to 120 instructors to the UK to carry out basic military training for Ukrainian citizens, who can then serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The aim is to enable Ukraine to maintain and strengthen its defense capabilities.
– Russia’s war against Ukraine has now been going on for over five months and it is extremely important that the outside world continues to support Ukraine in the country’s fight for sovereignty and self-determination. It is important that Sweden is involved in that work and the Swedish instructors will contribute to strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities, says Defense Minister Peter Hultqvist in a press release.
