US inflation peak could be near less hawkish FED

(Finance) – Non-farm payrolls increase well beyond expectations a July 2022. According to data provided by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate it fell to 3.5% from 3.6% the previous month and consensus estimates.

528 thousand were added jobs in the non-farm sectors (non-farm payrolls), after 398,000 payslips were created in June (revised from 372,000). The data on employment, more observed than the unemployment rate, is far better than the market expectations which indicated an increase of 250,000 jobs.

The figure is better than expected also in private sector: 471 thousand jobs have been added, against forecasts for an increase of 230 thousand and compared to the 404 thousand revised in June.

Employees of the sector manufacturing they rose by 30 thousand units, above the consensus of 17 thousand, and are compared with the 27 thousand of the previous month.

The average hourly wages stood at $ 32.3, registering an increase of 0.5% on the month and 5.2% on the year (against expectations for +0.3 m / m and + 4.9% yoy) after the + 0.4% monthly and + 5.2% trend recorded in May. Average hourly wages are closely monitored by the Federal Reserve since good indicator both the health of the labor market and inflationary pressures.
