The ship will be loaded with grain, says Ukraine’s infrastructure minister Oleksandr Kubrakov.
According to the minister, the ship, which is Barbados-flagged, is in the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk.
“We are doing everything to ensure that our ports can receive and handle more ships. In particular, we plan to reach the level of at least three to five ships per day in two weeks,” he writes on Facebook.
The minister also states that the country aims to eventually be able to ship out three million tons a month from the Black Sea ports.
On Monday, the first ship with grain left a Ukrainian port, after an agreement to allow the transport of grain and fertilizer through the Black Sea was signed.
About 20 million tons of grain from last year’s harvest are still stuck in the country.
