During the weekend, a football cup is arranged in Gammelstad, Luleå. On Friday, information came that a number of people admitted to a school in Luleå were forced to seek medical care with stomach problems after eating dinner.
Teams from the county were affected
On site was Spöland Vännäs IF, who are now on their way home after three people were hospitalized overnight. In total, five people became so bad that they were forced to seek medical care in Norrbotten.

A total of 16 players and four managers from Spöland Vännäs IF were in Luleå during the cup.
– It’s very sad. This was our first cup after the pandemic and it doesn’t feel good that it would end like this, says the leader.
Kudos to the organizers
Despite what has happened, Viktoria Svanbro chooses to lift the organizers and the health care staff’s jobs.
– We think they handled it very well, it’s not their fault, she says.
