Good news if you are a fan of TikTok: thanks to the viewing history, you will be able to find videos that you have watched more easily. And even delete them to avoid leaving traces…
The youngest know it well: TikTok is addictive and time-consuming. Once the application is launched, it is difficult to resist the temptation to watch the countless videos that are offered in the permanent stream of suggestions. But it is also difficult to find those that you liked if you did not have the reflex to “like” them at the time or to add them to your favorites. Of course, you can always try to find them after the fact using keywords, but the operation is long, tedious and uncertain. And it is precisely to facilitate this quest that the Chinese platform has just added a welcome function in the latest update to its application: the viewing history.
Admittedly, there is an unofficial method to find videos that have already been watched: it consists of entering an asterisk in the search field of the Discover tab with the subject of the video, then activating the “Watched videos” filter. The results of this query provide access to videos viewed in the last seven days. The problem is that this manipulation is complicated, not at all intuitive, and therefore very little known. The Watch History feature built into TikTok’s latest update makes it a whole lot simpler, letting you access your recent history — again, up to seven days of watching — and even delete it. An option that allows you, on occasion, to protect your privacy and avoid embarrassing situations in your relationship – just in case, videos that would make your partner jealous…
