A review by TV4-Nyheterna of the police’s incident notices during the summer shows that the police were alerted to at least 88 suspected workplace accidents in the country.
A group that is especially vulnerable are young people and above all those who work in trade, warehousing, care and warehouses.
Earlier this year, the Swedish Work Environment Agency also made a clarification which shows that young summer workers who have reported workplace accidents have led to a number of sick leaves, and the authority now fears that the sick leaves may increase.
According to the Swedish Work Environment Agency, around 200 workplace accidents among young summer workers are reported each year.
