Since January, food prices have increased by an average of 10.3 percent. The reason is the increased costs of raw materials, energy and transport as a result of the pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
And it can be more expensive. According to Ulf Mazur, who is CEO of Matpriskollen, food can be up to 15 percent more expensive at the end of the year compared to the beginning.
– It’s like a snowball, so unfortunately I think this will continue, he says.
