British intelligence has identified weaknesses in the voting process and warns of possible hacker attacks that could affect the result.
The Tory party has therefore been forced to implement certain changes to the voting process. Among other things, the possibility of being able to vote a second time in the event that you would like to change your original vote has been scrapped. The changes have in turn delayed the mailing of ballot papers.
Opinions are divided as to which of the candidates benefits from the delay. Liz Truss is leading in the polls at the moment, but a lot can still happen. Already on Thursday evening, at 21.00 Swedish time, they both meet in a televised debate on Sky News.
– There are many debates and election meetings left. Truss was recently forced to make a U-turn after a play about reduced wages for public employees, says SVT’s reporter Anna-Maja Persson.
In the video, Persson tells more about the election and about the cyber threat that has caused the delay.
