Two years ago, a group of Utrecht residents set up two vineyards: one in the center at Van Asch van Wijckskade and one at the urban agriculture initiative De Koningshof (on Koningsweg). “The weather is fine for the grape now,” says initiator Joop van der Meer. “But it shouldn’t get too hot either. If the temperature rises above 30 degrees, the grape doesn’t like it so much anymore and goes into survival mode.”
