And the Swede Emma Sralla kept up the pressure – and won in superior style.

The Swedes continue to collect medals in the JVM in athletics. Yesterday’s competitions ended with silver and bronze, and last night it was the tok favorite Emma Sralla’s turn in the discus final.
Huge success
The 17-year-old has a super spring behind her when she hit a world best in April earlier this year. And during the night’s races in Colombia, Emma Sralla had no problem sweeping her opponent off the track.
However, the great talent had a shaky start, and her first throw was failed. But she recovered quickly and threw 54.94 meters in her second throw, which was enough for gold. The Swede was not satisfied there and made an incomparable throw in the fourth attempt of an incredible 56.15 meters – and wild scenes of joy broke out.
The tribute to Sralla
– She was incredibly happy and rushed around and chirped and jingled. There is no mistaking when Emma is happy, and now she is very happy when she is junior world champion, says Mikael Wennolf.
The national team leader is very satisfied with Emma Sralla’s performance during the discus final:
– She came in as the favorite and the one who threw the longest in the world this year. To make a throw that is almost as far when it is needed the most, it indicates that we are dealing with a huge competitive person, he says.
