At 22:50 on Wednesday evening, voting began in the US Senate on Sweden’s membership in the NATO military alliance.
Earlier at 19.30, Swedish time, a debate took place in the senate. A debate that took a little over three hours.
So far, 20 of NATO’s 30 member states have approved Sweden’s and Finland’s applications.
