There is a big problem with RMT (Real Money Trading) in Lost Ark as players buy gold for real money. The developers take action against it, but also restrict honest players. The community is angry.

What’s new? With the current update, the developers of the MMORPG want to take action against bots, which is why they limit the use of gold. They are introducing a system that will hold your gold for 3 days if it comes from certain sources. This primarily includes the gold from NPC relationships.

Also keep the gold of a new character that you raised with the power pass. Gold that you earn with this character can only be fully used after 3 days.

You can no longer use the retained gold in the following situations:

  • At the auction house
  • On the marketplace
  • For 1:1 trading
  • At loot auctions
  • For sending by post

    • The developers want to prevent the economy of Lost Ark from collapsing further. Most recently, this was no longer operated by players, but by permanently farming bots.

    Many players finally got involved with RMT. They got large sums of money, such as 20,000 gold, for as little as 15 euros. A player put €20,000 into Lost Ark, managed 12 guilds and then got banned.

    Players on reddit blame gold buyers for ruining Lost Ark

    In a post on reddit, user No-Design2030 writes that RMT ruined the western version of Lost Ark. He accuses gold buyers of “still supporting these bot farmers”.
