Iron Man was the starting shot for the MCU in 2008, established Robert Downey Jrs. Tony Stark as an icon and is still considered one of the best franchise films by many Marvel fans. But the beginning of the billion-universe was difficult. Star Jeff Bridges

MCU star Jeff Bridges loved Iron Man, but the Marvel shoot drove him crazy

He explained that in an interview with Vanity Fair.

It was Marvel’s first adventure on film. I spent a couple of weeks with [Regisseur] Jon [Favreau] and [Robert] Downey and we changed a lot because we didn’t like the first script. But then, on the first day of shooting, Marvel said: “No, it has to be like this.”
So there was a lot of confusion about which version we’re shooting. And the crew was waiting for us. At first it drove me completely insane. But then I thought: “Jeff, you’re doing a $200 million student film here. Relax and enjoy. It was a wonderful experience.

Bridges’ change of heart paid off. After all, Iron Man was so successful that an entire franchise could be built on his back. The student film atmosphere is now probably only rudimentary.
