Petteri Lindbohm won Olympic gold with Finland earlier this year.
Now he is ready for games in the SHL.
– It is one of Europe’s best clubs, he says.

The well-traveled hill certainly has an impressive track record. He has won both Olympic and World Cup gold with Finland, and is noted for several games in the world’s best hockey league, the NHL.

Ready for games in the SHL

The Finn played as recently as last spring in the Florida Panthers, but shortly after the season ended, Petteri Lindbohm returned to Europe. Since then, together with his agent, he has been looking for a new club – and now it is clear that he will play in the SHL next season.

It is the top club Frölunda that presented the 190 centimeter long hill on Tuesday morning.

– We have been chasing a hill and now we have found Petteri. A good two-way back with lots of experience who will strengthen our back side, says Frölunda’s sporting director Fredrik Sjöström to the club’s website.

“Didn’t hesitate”

It has been clear for some time now that Frölunda defender Anders Borgman will miss large parts of the season. The star has had to have surgery on his shoulder, and Frölunda can now cover the vacant place in the defense with Petteri Lindbohm.

– I have heard a lot of positive things about Frölunda and it is one of the best clubs in Europe, says the Olympic gold hero and continues:

– I have wanted to play in Sweden for a long time and when I got the chance I didn’t hesitate. Frölunda is a good place to be and an opportunity for me to continue my development.

Petteri Lindbohm will play in shirt number 40.
