Zlatan Ibrahimovic has extended his contract with Milan.
Now the legendary Ronaldo gives his view on the matter.
– “Ibra” is a gift, he says.
The Swede returned to Milan with one goal in mind – namely to take the league title to Milan. It was something he promised the supporters, and a promise that Zlatan Ibrahimovic finally fulfilled.
Extended the contract
A little over two months have passed since Milan’s league title. Afterwards, Zlatan revealed that he played the entire spring season with an injured knee – all to be with the team and push his colleague on the field.
His contract also expired after the completed season. When his knee injury became known, and forced Zlatan to undergo surgery, it was speculated whether Milan would extend “Ibra” or not. In the end, however, it was announced that the Swede is signing a new contract with the club – despite the fact that he will miss large parts of the season.
Now Ronaldo, who has a past in Milan, gives his view on Zlatan’s extended contract.
“Is a gift”
He believes that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be a bonus for Milan during the season – once he is sufficiently recovered to be able to participate again on the football field.
– “Ibra” is a gift that Milan can give themselves at some point during the season, says Ronaldo according to the Football Channel.
Ibrahimovic turns 41 this fall. There are many who wonder what kind of game he will be in when he is back. But Ronaldo is not worried and believes that Zlatan is most curious himself.
– I think that the person who will be mainly curious about in what kind of way he will return will be himself. When I was struggling with my knee (injuries) off and on, I kept asking myself: “What will it be like to come back?”, he says.
