It was at the beginning of June that the police were alerted to the health centre. There, the accused man allegedly attacked a 55-year-old man with a knife and then left the scene. Shortly afterwards, the police were able to arrest the suspect near the health center.
According to the indictment, the man allegedly tried to stab the victim in the stomach, but he managed to back away and was instead hit in the arm. He received a deep wound and the act is described as life-threatening.
The accused man admits that he handed out the stabbing but that he acted in self-defence.
He is also charged with unlawful threats and drug offences.
