“The numbers are amazing, but the biggest surprise for me are those who are surprised that women’s football is at such a high level,” Ceferin said, according to Uefa’s official Twitter account.
“The bar is very high and it’s tough for the next host. We still don’t know who the next host will be but matching these numbers won’t be easy.”
If the championship is played in the Nordic countries, Gamla Ullevi, Tele2 and Friends arena are expected to be the Swedish EC arenas.
